The Whitney Wildcats football team scored 63 points and held the visiting Mart Panthers to 34 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Friday.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Benbrook Bobcats (Benbrook, TX) in a non-league game, on Thursday, September 4. Whitney will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Bobcats enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 47-45 non-league win over Castleberry (Fort Worth, TX).

The Panthers (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Maypearl (Maypearl, TX). The Panthers enter the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Maypearl was knocked off by Fairfield (Fairfield, TX), 51-13, in a non-league outing.
