South Carolina High School Football - West Ashley sneaks past May River

August 29, 2025: Bluffton, SC 2991

The West Ashley Wildcats football squad scored 31 points and limited the host May River Sharks to 30 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cane Bay for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. West Ashley will face a Cobras team coming off a 37-23 non-league loss to Ashley Ridge (Summerville, SC). The Cobras record now stands at 0-1.

The Sharks (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake City (Lake City, SC). The Panthers go into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Lake City was edged by Timberland (St. Stephen, SC), 34-24, in a non-league test.
