The Wenonah Dragons (Birmingham, AL) football trounced the visiting Midfield Patriots (Midfield, AL), 35-0 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Dragons now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Corner for a 5A Region 5 outing on Friday, September 5. Wenonah will clash with a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 36-6 non-league win over Dora (Dora, AL). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Midfield drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Patriots host Winfield (Winfield, AL) to clash with the Pirates in a 3A Region 5 game on Friday, September 5. The Pirates enter the game with a record of 1-1. Winfield won 43-6 in their recent non-league bout against Sulligent (Sulligent, AL)
