Midland Eagles (Wyoming, IA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Postville Pirates (Postville, IA), 32-10 in a non-league match.

The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their match against North Cedar (Stanwood, IA). The Knights come into the A District 4 match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, North Cedar was beaten by Clayton-Ridge (Guttenburg, IA), 7-0, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Pirates confront the Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA) in a A District 3 battle, on Friday, September 5. Postville will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Huskies go into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 53-0 non-league win over AGWSR (Ackley, IA).
