In Friday's non-league battle, the host Miramar Patriots football team scored a tight 13-12 win over the Plantation Colonels.

With the win, Miramar improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Patriots host McArthur (Hollywood, FL) to play the Mustangs in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 0-1. McArthur lost 28-14 in their recent non-league battle against Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood, FL)

The Colonels now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to West Broward for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 4. Plantation will play a Bobcats team coming off a 32-13 non-league loss to Camden County (Kingsland, GA). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-2.
