    The West Charlotte Lions football squad scored 47 points and limited the host Monroe Redhawks to 0 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

    The Lions now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Pointe for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. West Charlotte will play a Stallions team coming off a 28-6 non-league win over Rock Hill (Rock Hill, SC). The Stallions record now stands at 1-1.

    The Redhawks (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Weddington (Matthews, NC). The Warriors go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Weddington was ripped by Myers Park (Charlotte, NC), 28-18, in a non-league challenge.
