    The Montgomery Academy Eagles got by the host Saint James Trojans football squad by a margin of 14-7 in Friday's non-league test.

    The Eagles now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Houston Academy for a 3A Region 2 test on Friday, September 5. Montgomery Academy will face a Raiders team coming off a 33-32 non-league win over Pike County (Brundidge, AL). The Raiders record now stands at 2-0.

    The Trojans (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Bullock County (Union Springs, AL). The Hornets enter the 4A Region 3 game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Bullock County held off Park Crossing (Montgomery, AL), 28-0, in a non-league game.
