The Needles Mustangs football squad scored 47 points and limited the host Monument Valley Mustangs to 0 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Pershing County for a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. Needles will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 60-0 league win over Coral Academy of Science - Reno (Reno, NV). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-0.
The Mustangs (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Holbrook (Holbrook, AZ). The Roadrunners enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Holbrook was ripped by St. Johns (St. Johns, AZ), 67-12, in a non-league challenge.
