Mountain View Prep Stars (Spartanburg, SC) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Southside Christian Sabres (Simpsonville, SC), 43-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Mountain View Prep advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Stars host St. Joseph's Catholic (Greenville, SC) to play the Knights in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 2-0. St. Joseph's Catholic won 35-34 in their recent non-league match against Chapman (Inman, SC)

Coming up next, the Sabres confront the A.C. Flora Falcons (Columbia, SC) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 5. Southside Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Falcons come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 48-3 non-league win over Chapin (Chapin, SC).
