Illinois High School Football - Niles Notre Dame sneaks past Washington

The Niles Notre Dame Dons football squad scored 13 points and limited the visiting Washington Panthers to 12 in the Dons non-league triumph on Friday.

The Dons now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Charles East for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Niles Notre Dame will play a Fighting Saints team coming off a 63-0 non-league loss to Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL). The Fighting Saints record now stands at 0-1.

The Panthers (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Triad (Troy, IL). The Knights go into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Triad was edged by O'Fallon (O'Fallon, IL), 24-8, in a non-league challenge.
