The Thomas Jefferson Spartans football squad scored 36 points and limited the visiting Niwot Cougars to 35 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mountain Range for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. Thomas Jefferson will face a Mustangs team coming off a 56-0 non-league loss to Arvada West (Arvada, CO). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-1.

The Cougars (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Centaurus (Lafayette, CO). The Warriors enter the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Centaurus held off Boulder (Boulder, CO), 41-0, in a non-league challenge.
