North Carolina High School Football - Southside nips North Edgecombe

August 29, 2025: Chocowinity, NC 27817

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Southside Seahawks (Chocowinity, NC) and the visiting North Edgecombe Warriors (Tarboro, NC), witnessed Southside's football squad edge North Edgecombe by a tally of 27-20.

The Seahawks (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Washington County (Plymouth, NC). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Washington County was nudged by John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC), 42-14, in a non-league bout.

The Warriors now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Beddingfield for a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. North Edgecombe will encounter a Bruins team coming off a 57-6 non-league loss to Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC). The Bruins record now stands at 0-2.
