    The North Gaston Wildcats football team (Dallas, NC), was tipped 34-27 in Friday's non-league bout with the visiting Stuart W. Cramer Storm (Belmont, NC)

    With the win, Stuart W. Cramer advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Storm host Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC) to encounter the Yellow Jackets in a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A contest on Friday, September 12. The Yellow Jackets enter the contest with a record of 1-1.

    Coming up next, the Wildcats confront the Concord Spiders (Concord, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 5. North Gaston will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Spiders enter the contest with a 0-2 record after their 38-3 non-league loss to A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC).
