In Friday's non-league match, the host St. Cloud Tech/St. John's Prep football squad scored a close 16-12 triumph over the North Polars.
The (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Sartell-St. Stephen (Sartell, MN). The Sabres go into the Northstar - North match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Sartell-St. Stephen was nudged by Cambridge-Isanti (Cambridge, MN), 21-14, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Polars meet the Como Park Cougars (St. Paul, MN) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 5. North will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
