The Pekin Dragons felled the host Plainfield South Cougars football team by a score of 28-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Dragons face the Belleville East Lancers (Belleville, IL) in a non-league test, on Friday, September 5. Pekin will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Lancers come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 40-6 non-league win over Collinsville (Collinsville, IL).
With the defeat, Plainfield South drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Andrew (Tinley Park, IL) to meet the Thunderbolts in a non-league test on Friday, September 5. The Thunderbolts come into the test with a record of 0-1. Andrew lost 31-9 in their recent non-league test against Sandburg (Orland Park, IL)
