Nebraska High School Football - Plainview nips Pender

August 29, 2025: Plainview, NE 68769

Spectators at Friday's non-league bout between the Plainview Pirates (Plainview, NE) and the visiting Pender Pendragons (Pender, NE), saw Plainview's football team nip Pender by a final score of 29-26.

With the win, Plainview advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Pirates travel to Wisner-Pilger (Wisner, NE) to encounter the Gators in a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. The Gators go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Wisner-Pilger won 44-8 in their recent non-league bout against Lutheran-Northeast (Norfolk, NE)

The Pendragons now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Laurel-Concord-Coleridge for a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. Pender will battle a Bears squad coming off a 21-8 non-league loss to Guardian Angels Central Catholic (West Point, NE). The Bears record now stands at 0-1.
