The Wellston Golden Rockets football team (Wellston, OH), was crushed 50-8 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Piketon Redstreaks (Piketon, OH)

With the win, Piketon advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Redstreaks travel to Valley (Lucasville, OH) to encounter the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Valley won 47-0 in their recent non-league bout against Fayetteville-Perry (Fayetteville, OH)

The Golden Rockets now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Point for a non-league contest on Friday, September 5. Wellston will battle a Pointers squad coming off a 36-0 non-league win over Southern (Racine, OH). The Pointers record now stands at 1-1.
