In Friday's non-league game, the Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX) football team triumphed over the visiting Shamrock Irish (Shamrock, TX), by a tally of 52-6.

In their next game, the Roughnecks battle the Lubbock Christian Eagles (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 5. Sundown will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 49-26 non-league win over Wink (Wink, TX).

The Irish (0-1) will now prepare for their game against West Texas (Stinnett, TX). The Comanches enter the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, West Texas overwhelmed Lockney (Lockney, TX), 53-20, in a non-league game.
