The Verndale Pirates felled the visiting South Ridge Panthers football team by a score of 14-6 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Pirates meet the Carlton/Wrenshall (Carlton, MN) in a District 9 North - South (9 Man) test, on Friday, September 5. Verndale will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record.
