The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Sterling Tigers (Sterling, CO) and the visiting Valley Vikings (Gilcrest, CO), saw Sterling's football team prevail over Valley by a final score of 49-32.

With the win, Sterling advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Tigers travel to Lamar (Lamar, CO) to encounter the Thunder in a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. The Thunder go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Lamar won 41-7 in their recent non-league bout against Raton (Raton, NM)

The Vikings now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Weld Central for a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. Valley will encounter a Rebels team coming off a 55-0 non-league win over Bennett (Bennett, CO). The Rebels record now stands at 1-0.
