In Friday's non-league outing, the host Basalt Longhorns soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Bayfield Wolverines.
The Longhorns (1-2) will now prepare for their outing against Roaring Fork (Carbondale, CO). The Rams go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Roaring Fork was edged by Crested Butte (Crested Butte, CO), 2-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Wolverines play the Grand Junction Central Warriors (Grand Junction, CO) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, August 30. Bayfield will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Warriors come into the test with a 0-1 record after their 7-0 league loss to Grand Junction (Grand Junction, CO).
