Nebraska High School Softball - Grand Island bested by Elkhorn South

The Elkhorn South Storm triumphed over the visiting Grand Island Islanders softball squad by a count of 15-3 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Storm confront the Hastings Tigers (Hastings, NE) in a non-league battle, on Friday, August 29. Elkhorn South will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Tigers come into the battle with a 2-2 record after their 12-0 league win over McCook (McCook, NE).

The Islanders (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Lincoln Northeast (Lincoln, NE). The Rockets enter the non-league challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Lincoln Northeast was routed by Kearney (Kearney, NE), 12-1, in a league battle.
