The Merritt Oilers (Elk City, OK) softball routed the host Vici Indians (Vici, OK), 15-1 in Friday's non-league outing.
The Oilers now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mangum for a 2A bout on Monday, September 8. Merritt will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 36-0 non-league win over Burns Flat-Dill City (Burns Flat, OK). The Tigers record now stands at 12-4.
In their next game, the Indians clash with the Shattuck Indians (Shattuck, OK) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, September 2. Vici will attempt to advance on its 0-11 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 14-3 non-league win over Mooreland (Mooreland, OK).
