Nebraska High School Softball - Pius X loses to Papillion-LaVista

The Papillion-LaVista Monarchs softball team scored 16 runs and held the host Pius X Thunderbolts to 2 in the Monarchs non-league win on Friday.

The Monarchs now possess a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lincoln Southeast for a non-league battle on Friday, August 29. Papillion-LaVista will play a Knights squad coming off a 18-7 league loss to Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE). The Knights record now stands at 1-2.

The Thunderbolts (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, NE). The Titans go into the non-league bout with a 4-2 record. In their last bout, Papillion-LaVista South was routed by Westview (Omaha, NE), 9-2, in a league bout.
