The Carthage Bulldogs nudged the host Garrison Bulldogs volleyball team by a tally of 2-1 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Bulldogs now have a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to North Lamar for a non-league outing on Saturday, August 30. Carthage will play a Panthers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Gilmer (Gilmer, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Garrison drops to 9-14 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Henderson (Henderson, TX) to play the Lions in a non-league game on Saturday, August 30. The Lions go into the game with a record of 12-10. Henderson won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, TX)
