The Hilltop Lancers edged the host Monte Vista Monarchs volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league game.
Next up, the Lancers face the San Ysidro Cougars (San Diego, CA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, August 30. Hilltop will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Cougars come into the outing with a 0-5 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Chula Vista Learning Community Charter (San Diego, CA).
The Monarchs (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Valhalla (El Cajon, CA). The Norsemen go into the non-league game with a 3-6 record. In their last game, Valhalla was edged by Patrick Henry (San Diego, CA), 3-1, in a non-league game.
