In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Johnson City Eagles volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Marion Bulldogs.

The Eagles (13-8) will now prepare for their test against D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX). The Cowboys go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, D'Hanis went down by Ingram Moore (Ingram, TX), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Bulldogs now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Braunfels Christian Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. Marion will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to SA Saints (San Antonio, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-7.
