The Lamar Vikings volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Newman Smith Trojans to 0 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now possess a 12-12 record. They play next when they host Weatherford for a non-league outing on Saturday, August 30. Lamar will confront a Kangaroos squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Wylie (Abilene, TX). The Kangaroos record now stands at 11-8.

The Trojans (5-12) will now prepare for their game against Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, TX). The Wolves enter the non-league game with a 7-11 record. In their last game, Mansfield Timberview gained a win over Cedar Hill (Cedar Hill, TX), 3-0, in a non-league outing.
