Texas High School Volleyball - Pioneer over Veterans Memorial

August 30, 2025: Mission, TX 78572

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX) and the visiting Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX), saw Pioneer's volleyball squad achieve victory over Veterans Memorial by a score of 2-0.

With the win, Pioneer improves its record to 18-3 on the season. The Diamondbacks travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX) to face the Raiders in a 5A Region IV District 31 test on Tuesday, September 2. The Raiders go into the test with a record of 9-5. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Alexander (Laredo, TX)

Next, the Chargers meet the La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Veterans Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Coyotes enter the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to San Benito (San Benito, TX).
