New Mexico High School Volleyball - Sandia can't hold off Volcano Vista

In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Volcano Vista Hawks volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Sandia Matadors.
The Hawks (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM). The Bears come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, La Cueva was edged by Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Matadors encounter the Hope Christian Huskies (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 2. Sandia will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Huskies come into the battle with a 3-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Moriarty (Moriarty, NM).
