The Cherokee Trail Cougars routed the host Chaparral Wolverines softball squad by a final score of 9-4 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Cougars (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Arvada West (Arvada, CO). The Wildcats go into the non-league battle with a 5-0 record. In their last battle, Arvada West held off Lutheran (Parker, CO), 9-0, in a non-league battle.

The Wolverines now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Grandview for a non-league battle on Wednesday, August 31. Chaparral will meet a Wolves squad coming off a 19-5 league win over Arapahoe (Centennial, CO). The Wolves record now stands at 2-1.
