Illinois High School Volleyball - Putnam County can't hold off Fieldcrest

In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting Fieldcrest Knights volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Putnam County Panthers.
The Knights (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Eureka (Eureka, IL). The Hornets come into the Heart of Illinois battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Eureka nudged Monmouth United (Monmouth, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Panthers encounter the Roanoke-Benson Rockets (Roanoke, IL) in a Tri-County battle, on Thursday, September 1. Putnam County will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Rockets come into the battle with a 0-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Flanagan-Cornell (Flanagan, IL).
