The Sandia Matadors held off the host Volcano Vista Hawks volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Matadors now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Douglas for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 30. Sandia will confront a Eagles team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Holly Pond (Holly Pond, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.

The Hawks (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM). The Bulldogs enter the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Albuquerque held off Valley (Albuquerque, NM), 3-1, in a non-league test.
