Next, the Explorers confront the Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL) in a Gateway Metro challenge, on Thursday, August 31. Marquette Catholic will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to Jersey (Jerseyville, IL).

The Shells now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Salem for a Cahokia (Mississippi Division) test on Saturday, September 2. Roxana will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-1 non-league win over Valmeyer (Valmeyer, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-2.
