The Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) soccer nipped the visiting West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC), 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
With the victory, Newton-Conover moves its record to 5-2 on the year. The Red Devils travel to Owen (Black Mountain, NC) to battle the Warhorses in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 5. The Warhorses enter the bout with a record of 3-1. Owen lost 1-0 in their recent non-league bout against T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC)
In their next game, the Warriors battle the Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, September 5. West Iredell will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Blue Comets enter the bout with a 6-1 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC).
