In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Academy of Holy Angels Stars football squad scored a close 34-31 victory over the North Community Polars.
The Stars (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Richfield (Richfield, MN). The Spartans enter the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Richfield was nudged by Camden/FAIR Downtown (Minneapolis, MN), 24-2, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Polars confront the Rocori Spartans (Cold Spring, MN) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 6. North Community will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 0-1 record after their 41-14 non-league loss to Detroit Lakes (Detroit Lakes, MN).
