The Buckingham Knights felled the host Appomattox County Raiders football team by a score of 35-13 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Knights face the Madison County Mountaineers (Madison, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 6. Buckingham will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Mountaineers go into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 35-21 non-league win over Staunton (Staunton, VA).
The Raiders (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Rustburg (Rustburg, VA). The Red Devils go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Rustburg toppled Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA), 21-6, in a non-league challenge.
