Illinois High School Football - Nokomis beat Arcola

The Nokomis Redskins football squad scored 27 points and limited the visiting Arcola Purple Riders to 10 in the Redskins league triumph on Friday.

The Redskins now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Argenta-Oreana for a Lincoln Prairie test on Friday, September 6. Nokomis will meet a Bombers squad coming off a 30-10 league loss to Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (Arthur, IL). The Bombers record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Arcola drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Purple riders host Sullivan-Okaw Valley/Bethany (Sullivan, IL) to meet the Redskins in a Lincoln Prairie test on Friday, September 6. The Redskins come into the test with a record of 1-0. Sullivan-Okaw Valley/Bethany won 36-12 in their recent league test against Villa Grove (Villa Grove, IL)
