California High School Football - Avenal thwarted by Strathmore

August 30, 2024: Avenal, CA 93204

Strathmore Spartans (Strathmore, CA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Avenal Buccaneers (Avenal, CA), 41-20 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Strathmore advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Spartans host Exeter (Exeter, CA) to play the Monarchs in a non-league battle on Friday, September 13. The Monarchs go into the battle with a record of 1-1.

The Buccaneers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Riverdale for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. Avenal will play a Cowboys team coming off a 26-20 non-league win over Orange Cove (Orange Cove, CA). The Cowboys record now stands at 2-0.
