The Colbert County Indians (Leighton, AL) football trounced the host Tanner Rattlers (Tanner, AL), 63-0 in Friday's non-league outing.
The Indians now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Mars Hill Bible for a 3A Region 7 outing on Friday, September 6. Colbert County will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 28-14 non-league win over Russellville (Russellville, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 2-0.
With the defeat, Tanner drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Rattlers host Winston County (Double Springs, AL) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a 2A Region 8 outing on Friday, September 6.
