Iowa High School Football - Dowling Catholic prevails Kennedy

In Friday's non-league match, the host Dowling Catholic Maroons football squad scored a good 24-12 triumph over the Kennedy Cougars.

The Maroons (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Valley (West Des Moines, IA). The Tigers come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Valley defeated Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA), 20-17, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Cougars confront the Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 6. Kennedy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Spartans come into the match with a 0-1 record after their 25-24 non-league loss to Bettendorf (Bettendorf, IA).
