Jefferson Silver Foxes (El Paso, TX) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Fabens Wildcats (Fabens, TX), 15-13 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Jefferson advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Silver Foxes host Bowie (El Paso, TX) to play the Bears in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 5. The Bears go into the battle with a record of 0-0.

The Wildcats now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Burges for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. Fabens will play a Mustangs team coming off a 40-0 non-league loss to Coronado (El Paso, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-1.
