The KIPP Collegiate phoenix football squad scored 2 points and limited the visiting Freedom Prep Academy Eagles to 0 in the phoenix league triumph on Friday.
The phoenix now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fairley for a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. KIPP Collegiate will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 62-0 non-league win over St. George's (Collierville, TN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Freedom Prep Academy drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Booker T. Washington (Memphis, TN) to meet the Warriors in a non-league test on Friday, September 13. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 0-2.
