Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Hermitage Panthers (Richmond, VA), 44-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Oscar Smith improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Tigers host Norcom (Portsmouth, VA) to play the Greyhounds in a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. The Greyhounds go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Norcom won 46-14 in their recent non-league battle against Grafton (Yorktown, VA)

The Panthers now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Henrico for a Colonial battle on Friday, September 6.
