Texas High School Football - Hermleigh defeats Sands

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Hermleigh Cardinals (Hermleigh, TX) and the host Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX), witnessed Hermleigh's football squad topple Sands by a count of 54-34.

The Cardinals (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Water Valley (Water Valley, TX). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Water Valley thwarted Grandfalls-Royalty (Grandfalls, TX), 54-8, in a non-league contest.
