In Friday's non-league match, the host Premont Cowboys football squad scored a good 30-0 victory over the Monte Alto Blue Devil.
The Cowboys (1-0) will now prepare for their match against John Paul II (Corpus Christi, TX). The Centurions enter the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, John Paul II was beaten by St. Anthony (San Antonio, TX), 34-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Blue Devil battle the Ben Bolt Badgers (Ben Bolt, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 6. Monte Alto will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Badgers enter the game with a 0-1 record after their 47-20 non-league loss to Odem (Odem, TX).
