Texas High School Football - Ray thwarted by Nixon

August 30, 2024: Laredo, TX 78043

Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Ray Texans (Corpus Christi, TX), 21-13 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Nixon improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX) to play the Wolves in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 5. The Wolves go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Laredo LBJ won 34-6 in their recent non-league battle against Martin (Laredo, TX)

The Texans now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Tuloso-Midway for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. Ray will play a Warriors & Cherokees team coming off a 28-14 non-league win over Corpus Christi Moody (Corpus Christi, TX). The Warriors & Cherokees record now stands at 1-0.
