North Carolina High School Soccer - Asheville knocks off Watauga

August 30, 2024: Boone, NC 28607

The Asheville Cougars soccer squad scored 4 points and held the host Watauga Pioneers to 1 in the Cougars non-league victory on Friday.

The Cougars now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Apex Friendship for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 31. Asheville will play a Patriots squad coming off a 1-1 non-league Heritage (Wake Forest, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Watauga moves to 4-1 on the year. The Pioneers host North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 3. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 4-2. North Lincoln lost 4-1 in their recent non-league bout against South Point (Belmont, NC)
