In Friday's non-league match, the host Locust Grove Pirates softball team scored a nice 13-4 victory over the Sallisaw Black Diamonds.
The Pirates (13-5) will now prepare for their match against Rejoice Christian (Owasso, OK). The Eagles go into the non-league match with a 1-5 record. In their last match, Rejoice Christian was routed by Pawhuska (Pawhuska, OK), 12-0, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Black Diamonds encounter the Broken Bow Savages (Broken Bow, OK) in a 4A District 6 outing, on Monday, September 9. Sallisaw will attempt to move on its 1-9 season record.
