In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Port Neches-Groves Indians volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Franklin Lions.
The Indians (11-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Leon (Jewett, TX). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 8-6 record. In their last challenge, Leon lost by Oak Ridge (Conroe, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Lions play the Caldwell Hornets (Caldwell, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 30. Franklin will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 7-17 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Cedar Creek (Cedar Creek, TX).
